Our Hostel Facilities & Services

Dorset House offers a great range of facilities. These include laundry and kitchen facilities, (including ovens and fridge-freezers, tea, coffee and spices) a sunny kitchen balcony, a purpose-built cycle lock-up, free pool table and luggage storage.
 All bookings include free unlimited WiFi access. The free unlimited WiFi can be used throughout the hostel and in all guest bedrooms.  

Dorset House was renovated in early 2012, and our guest rooms have been furnished with your comfort in mind. In the 5 bed Dorm Room (5 single beds, no bunks) and all Private Rooms the beds are fully made with sheets, blankets, duvets and pillows (for this reason we don't allow the use of sleeping bags at Dorset House). We have one room that sleeps 8 people in bunk beds. Please note that the 8 bed Bunk Room will have sheets on the bed but only the fitted sheet will have been put on. 

All bedrooms have heaters, bedside cabinets and lamps. There are flatscreen TVs in all private rooms. The rooms are spotlessly clean, light and airy. 

Guests describe our budget guest rooms as comfortable, charming and warm.

We have a spacious and comfortable guest lounge with a free pool table, TV, DVD player and book exchange. Freeview TV is available or borrow a free DVD from reception and relax on the couches. 

Dorset House has eight modernised bathrooms with gas-heated hot water. All bedrooms are within 3 - 7 metres from a bathroom. We don't have ensuite rooms.

Free Unlimited WiFi 

We know how important it is to stay in touch with family and friends, upload your travel photos or book your next hostel or activity. That's why we are proud to say we offer free unlimited WiFi throughout the entire hostel. On check-in we'll give you our WiFi password to login, which keeps you logged in for 12 hours. You can login on all your devices at the same time and as many times as you like, so there is no need to worry about running out or paying extra. It's all FREE! 

Car parking 

Dorset House has a free off-street car park available for guest use, which is pretty hard to come by in the city center. This is located directly behind the house and operates on a first-in, first-served basis. There is also plenty of street-parking available on Dorset St and Dublin St.

The staff at Dorset House offer a range of services to make your travelling life easier.

Ask at reception if you need to use our free day luggage or bicycle storage after or before you check out. We can also arrange longer storage for returning guests.
